Toronto officially has live gaming tables.
The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation announced that its subsidiary, One Toronto Gaming (“OTG”), has received the necessary municipal zoning approvals from the City of Toronto to offer table games at Casino Woodbine.
And as a result of the approval, there are now 50 “live dealer” table games at Casino Woodbine.
Being the largest casino in Canada, it takes third place in the worldwide rankings. The casino occupies more than 520,000 sq ft., where you will find 3,000 slots and 100 table games. Poker fans will be happy to try a particular section that is divided into 18 poker tables. There are a number of casinos in Ontario and Casino Woodbine is another that is well worth a visit. Easily the biggest in Toronto, Casino Woodbine offers up 100 live casino tables and 3,500 slot machines. Open on a 24/7 basis, Casino Woodbine is situated at the Woodbine Racetrack and offers up one of the best casino experiences in the country.
- I had a good time playing in the Poker room at Woodbine. They have several 1/2 2/5 tables. They are all electronic tables, so no dealers which does speed the game along. I believe the rake was 10%, $5 max. The game was social and similar to a live dealer. They also have a waiter coming around taking frequent drink orders.

This marks the first time that live dealer table games are available in the GTA.
According to a release by the Gaming Corporation, OTG has also added a diverse mix of new electronic table and “stadium style” gaming positions that can accommodate up to 331 players in addition to the live dealer games.

An additional 50 live dealer table games and over 300 slot machines are anticipated by the end of the year, adding jobs in the province, says the company’s president.
“This is another important achievement for One Toronto Gaming, made possible by the hard work from our team in collaboration with stakeholders including OLG, our regulators, and the City of Toronto,” stated Rod Baker, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
“This not only is a significant step in the expansion and overall development of Casino Woodbine, but this additional gaming amenity has generated over 400 new jobs, and will create another 300 by the end of 2018.”
Earlier this year, Toronto City Council approved expanded gaming at the Woodbine Racetrack.
